Claudia Gessler-ZwicklHow to use
Determine your start day: First, calculate your usual cycle length and begin testing according to the chart in the package insert. For a 28-day cycle, start 11 days after the first day of your period.
Test daily: Take the test on five consecutive days at approximately the same time each day. Do not use first-morning urine, and limit your fluid intake for about two hours beforehand.
Check the result: If the test line is as dark as or darker than the control line, ovulation is likely to occur within the next 24 to 36 hours. If the result remains negative, continue testing for a few more days.
Important information
Please read the enclosed instructions for use (IFU) carefully before testing. A reliable test result can only be ensured when the test is used correctly.
The test detects an LH surge and indicates that ovulation is likely to occur within the next 24 to 36 hours. It does not confirm ovulation with certainty and is not suitable for contraception.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Ovulation Test
Is there anything I should keep in mind before taking the test?
Reduce your fluid intake for about two hours before testing. Drinking large amounts of fluid can dilute the LH in your urine and affect the result.
Who is the VILAVIT Ovulation Test suitable for?
The VILAVIT Ovulation Test is suitable for women who want to better understand their fertile days and improve their chances of becoming pregnant. By detecting luteinizing hormone (LH), the test helps identify the period shortly before ovulation. This makes it easier to narrow down the most fertile days when trying to conceive.
Please note: Read the enclosed instructions for use (IFU) carefully before testing. A reliable test result can only be ensured when the test is used correctly.
When should I start testing?
The best time to start testing depends on the length of your cycle. As a general guide:
28-day cycle: Start testing around cycle day 11
30-day cycle: Start testing around cycle day 13
32-day cycle: Start testing around cycle day 15
From this point, you should ideally test on five consecutive days. If your cycles are irregular, a longer testing period may be helpful. More detailed instructions can be found in the enclosed instructions for use.
What time of day should I test?
Test once a day at approximately the same time. Do not use first-morning urine. Many women get good results when testing after 12 pm.
Why shouldn’t I test in the morning?
Unlike pregnancy tests, LH tests are often best taken without using first-morning urine, as it may be too concentrated. You can take the test at any other time of day instead.
Can I use the test if I have irregular cycles?
Yes. The test can also be used with irregular cycles. Because the timing of ovulation may vary more, a longer testing period may be recommended.
Does a positive test mean that ovulation has already occurred?
No. A positive test result indicates a surge in luteinizing hormone (LH). For most women, ovulation occurs within the next 24 to 36 hours. This is the most fertile time and the best time to have intercourse when trying to conceive.
Can medications affect the test result?
Most commonly used medications do not affect the result. However, hormonal medications containing LH or hCG may influence the test result. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, and the use of hormonal contraceptives may also affect the results.
What should I do if I don’t get a positive result?
Ovulation does not always occur exactly in the middle of the cycle. Continue testing for a few more days. If you still do not receive a positive result over several cycles, seek medical advice.
